1. Information We Collect

To provide the App's core features, we collect and store information linked to your account:

  • Account details such as your name and email address.
  • Work data you enter, including clock-in/out times, breaks, shift schedules, holiday entries, and pay-rate settings.
  • Earnings calculations derived from the hours and rates you record.
  • App preferences such as theme, schedule patterns, display settings, and notification preferences.
  • When you enable native push notifications, the notification service may process your device's push token and the account identifier used to associate your device with your My Shift Tracker account.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To display your shifts, hours worked, and estimated earnings.
  • To calculate monthly progress and working-time compliance.
  • To sync your data securely across your signed-in devices.
  • To improve reliability and performance.
  • To process subscriptions and restore access where you purchase through Apple App Store or Google Play.
  • To provide support, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Our Lawful Bases

Where UK GDPR applies, we process personal information where necessary to provide the App and your account, for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and improving the service, to comply with legal obligations, and where we have asked for your consent. You can withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

4. Data Storage, Providers and Security

Your account and app data are stored using infrastructure and services provided to us by third-party technology providers, including Base44 for application infrastructure, hosting, authentication and database services. These providers may process information on our behalf to operate the App. We do not sell your personal data.

Subscription purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play and their associated payment systems. We do not receive or store your full payment card details through the App. RevenueCat processes subscription information needed for products, purchases, entitlements and subscription status, and Despia provides the native app integration used to access these services. Native push notifications are provided through Despia and OneSignal. When push is enabled, the signed-in My Shift Tracker account is linked to the notification service so shift reminders can be delivered to your device. Period-summary emails, where requested, use email infrastructure provided through Base44.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

5. Device Permissions

The App may request notifications, local storage and internet access only when needed. Notifications are optional and can be disabled in device settings. If notification permission is granted, the App can use native push notifications to deliver scheduled shift reminders according to your notification preferences. The App does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, or location in the background.

6. Sharing and International Transfers

We may share personal information with service providers that process information for us, including providers supporting hosting, authentication, app infrastructure, customer support, and subscription management. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect rights and security.

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK GDPR applies and a restricted international transfer takes place, we will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards. Service providers may use subprocessors for infrastructure, hosting, authentication, database, email, or subscription services.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep account and app information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service and maintain your account. If you delete your account, we delete the app account and associated app data and request deletion of the associated RevenueCat customer record. When you delete your account, we also cancel your scheduled shift reminders and delete your push notification profile. Provider backups or records that must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or accounting purposes may remain for the period required for that purpose and are then deleted or anonymised.

8. Your Rights

Depending on the circumstances and subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis. Use the App's account controls where available or contact support@myshifttracker.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

If you are in the UK, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
